NABU and SAP exposed the mayor of the city and the deputy in Odesa region: the head of the OVA revealed the details

Officials were tried to receive a bribe of 50 thousand US dollars

On January 25, NABU and SAP detained the chairman of the Rheiniv city council Igor Plekhov and deputy Ivan Podoilov. Officials “burned out” on bribes. The head of the Odesa regional military administration, Maksym Marchenko, confirmed the information.

He wrote about this in his Telegram channels.

Marchenko urged to wait for the court’s decision. However, he emphasized that “the precedent speaks for itself.”

“The NABU and SAP exposed the mayor of Reni, Igor Plekhov, and the deputy of the Reni city council, Ivan Podoilov, “in the heat of the moment” when they received an illegal benefit in the form of 50,000 US dollars. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing and the issue of notifying them of suspicion is being resolved,” he said he.

The head of Odesa OVA added that today not everyone understands what civil servants should actually do in their positions.

“So I call on all officials, regardless of their position, to fulfill their duties and work for the benefit of the residents of Odesa and victory, and not to create similar shameful precedents,” added the head of the region.

We will remind that on January 24 NABU and SAP exposed the head and deputy of one of the city councils of the Odesa region for bribery.
