More than 1,000 malnourished chickens warn authorities

More than a thousand undernourished chickens sent to a slaughterhouse in Braga sounded the alert regarding the conditions of an aviary in Barco, Guimarães. The authorities went to the farm on Wednesday morning, where they only found about 30 birds.

According to information from the GNR, “it was the extremely thin state in which the birds arrived that made those responsible for the slaughterhouse make the complaint”. Yesterday, according to the GNR, the birds had not yet been slaughtered.
