Today, at the place of arrival, utility workers are cleaning the street from construction debris. And residents are repairing damaged apartments.
Two dead and two dozen wounded. This is the final number of victims as a result of the rocket attack on Mykolaiv. The Russians hit the city with two rockets the night before. One hit a three-story residential building. Neighboring houses were also seriously damaged.
TSN correspondent Anton Kotsukon gave details about the consequences of the rocket attack on Mykolaiv.
According to Anton Kotsukon, even a day after the arrival, rescuers are on duty near the destroyed house.
“How high the temperature was during the fire, you can judge by all these trees, they stand 15 meters away from the epicenter of the explosion and are all charred, everything is covered in soot,” the correspondent says.
Even the day before, communal workers raked all the garbage into large piles. Today they start taking it out.
Volunteers have also been on duty here since yesterday. Representatives of the emergency services, as well as local residents, are fed and watered.
In a group, the residents, together with utility workers, stitch up each broken window. However, the main front of work is inside the apartments.
It is not the first time that these people have had to throw away the destroyed and repair the damaged. The Russians have already shelled this street three times with only rockets.
Some just restored the apartment from the previous arrival in April, and here it is again.
“I only installed the front door two weeks ago, everything broke again. I lived without a door at all for 12 days,” – shares a local resident.
Finding the logic behind which the occupiers are systematically raiding this area is a futile task.
“Part of the locals decided to leave after the extreme arrival. The residents of the three-story building simply have nowhere to return. Nevertheless, most people plan to repair their once again damaged homes and try to continue living in their native walls,” the TSN correspondent added.
