The British Ministry of Defense announced the training of ten military chaplains of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The British Ministry of Defense announced a two-week training of ten military chaplains of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The corresponding statement was published on the department’s website.
The training course was developed by British chaplains at the request of Ukraine as part of Operation Orbital, the report said. It is aimed at developing the skills of spiritual assistance to military personnel after heavy losses and psychological trauma.
The Ministry of Defense said that in two weeks Ukrainian chaplains were trained in “pastoral care, spiritual support and moral guidance during hostilities.”
In May, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal announced that about 15,000 APU fighters had been trained in the UK. “The Ukrainian army is mastering NATO standards in practice,” wrote the head of the Ukrainian government.
