“Manchester United” defeated “Barcelona” in the return match 1/16 finals of the Europa League. The match at the “Old Trafford” stadium in Manchester ended with a score 2:1.
“Blue Garnets” won the first half thanks to a goal by Robert Lewandowski – the Polish forward converted a penalty in the 18th minute.
However, after the break, the “Mancunians” made a comeback. At the very beginning of the second half, former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred equalized the score. And in the 73rd minute, another Brazilian, Antoni, brought victory to Manchester United with a well-hit shot.

In the first match between the teams at Camp Nou, a goal was recorded resulting draw – 2:2. So “Manchester United” defeated “Barcelona” with a score of 4:3 in the sum of two meetings and made it to the 1/8 finals of the Europa League.
- The winners of the 1/16 final pairs will join the teams that took the first places in the Europa League groups.
