More than 20 countries have already recognized the Holodomor in Ukraine as genocide.

On Tuesday, June 13, Luxembourg recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine as genocide. The corresponding resolution was adopted by the Chamber of Deputies.

About this informs press service of the Parliament of Luxembourg.

“During the open session, the deputies adopted a resolution, which is supposed to recognize the Holodomor (Great Famine) of the 1930s in Ukraine as genocide,” the message reads.

Another resolution adopted by the Luxembourg deputies concerns the support of the democratic forces of Belarus. The parliament condemned the involvement of Belarus in the war against Ukraine on the side of the Russian Federation. The Chamber of Deputies was reminded of the creation of a parliamentary friendship group with the Belarusian opposition.

It will be recalled that the Parliament of Great Britain recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people. In general, some of the most tragic years of the last century for Ukraine were recognized as genocide by more than 20 states.
