The capital’s road tunnels were reopened to traffic this Friday at dawn, after being closed due to the heavy rains that hit Lisbon overnight on Wednesday.
The tunnels remained closed overnight yesterday, because of the meteorological alert that predicted further flooding, but were reopened to traffic at 5 am today.
The information was advanced by an official source from the Lisbon municipality, who added that there were no significant occurrences during the night and early morning, similar to what the Civil Protection made known.
The orange warning for rain and strong wind was in effect between 9 pm yesterday and 9 am this Friday.
