Lavrov said that the West rallied the people of Russia, only marginals remained indifferent
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the West has rallied the people of Russia, and only marginals remained indifferent. The text of the minister’s speech during a visit to the 201st Russian military base in Tajikistan is published on the agency’s website.
According to him, the Russians, due to their historical roots and the memory of their ancestors, found themselves at the forefront due to the confrontation unleashed by Western countries. Those who had a relaxed perception of what was happening around, primarily the events in Ukraine, such moods disappeared.
“What they did brought us together even more. There would be no happiness, but misfortune helped,” Lavrov emphasized.
Earlier, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Europe has chosen the path of war with Russia, but Moscow must achieve its goals, which are much more noble than the Europeans. He noted that Europe wants someone else’s, and Russia wants its own.
