Last minute of the elections, live | Sánchez proposes holding six debates in the main media with Feijóo from next Monday until 23-J

The PNV affirms that it prefers to agree with Sánchez after the elections of 23-J

The PNV spokesman in the Congress of Deputies, Aitor Esteban, stated this Monday that, between the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, and the PP leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, he prefers the former, among other things, due to the foreseeable pact of the second with the far-right party Vox. In any case, given a possible support for the socialist candidate if he remains in La Moncloa, he has said that the support of the PNV should be “much more concrete, with assessed dates and guarantees.”

Asked about his preferences between Sánchez or Feijóo, the leader jeltzale He has recognized that, “in principle, Sánchez for various reasons.” “First of all, we have a government agreement [en el Gobierno y otras instituciones vascas] that we even just reissued. We are governing in many institutions and we are two parties that know each other. But beyond that, Feijóo’s alternative is with Vox and we are not going to be in that alternative ”, he highlighted.

Regarding whether a possible rapprochement between the PP and PNV would affect the agreement with the PSE, Esteban has opted not to make “lucubrations” and has insisted that the pact between jeltzales and socialists in Euskadi is “very established and working”, in such a way that “moving that is very difficult”. Thus, he has considered that after July 23 “the logical thing” would be “to try to explore, with other bases and guarantees”, an agreement with the PSOE. “The other alternative is PP with Vox and we are not going to be there at all. It is our word and it is so, ”he insisted.

Of course, he has stated that an investiture agreement with Sánchez for the next legislature should be “much more specific and with fixed dates.” “I am satisfied with the budget agreements reached. 80% —of the agreements— have been complied with, but in the big ideological agreements for structural change, they have delayed and I cannot be satisfied. I think we will go to something more concrete, with certain dates and guarantees. Experience has shown us that it has to be like this ”, he has settled. (EP)
