According to the statement on the official website of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan, “Meken Card” (Motherland Card) will be given to people who have been citizens of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan since birth but later legally renounced their citizenship, their children and grandchildren for 10 years.
People who will have Meken Card will be granted the right to visit Kyrgyzstan without a visa, transit, enter and exit, reside, register within 90 days after entering the country, and benefit from work, health and education services under equal conditions.
Former citizens of foreign countries will be able to obtain a Meken Card upon their application as of March 13 from Community Service Centers in the country or from foreign representative offices abroad, provided that they meet the necessary conditions.
Citizens of Kyrgyzstan’s border neighbors Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and People’s Republic of China were excluded from the Meken Card application.
