Italy will help Ukraine restore the energy system — MFA

Italy will help Ukraine in the restoration of the energy infrastructure, which was damaged as a result of shelling by Russian terrorists.

This was stated by the head of the Italian Foreign Ministry, Antonio Tajani, reports Ukrinform.

At the meeting of the heads of foreign affairs of NATO countries in Bucharest, he noted that Italy advocates for Ukraine to pass the winter without tragedies for the country’s population.

He stated that Italy will contribute to maintaining the operation of the Ukrainian energy system, which has suffered serious damage after shelling by Russian missiles. In particular, he promised that Italian companies will supply equipment that will help maintain the operation of the energy system.

The diplomat said that it will be difficult for Ukraine to sit down at the negotiating table, because now it will be very difficult to achieve peace without justice for the Ukrainian people.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that the USA will provide Ukraine with an aid package for restoring the energy system.

Also earlier, NATO Secretary Jens Stoltenberg said that Ukraine and its partners should be ready for Russia will continue to strike to destroy Ukrainian infrastructure.
