It was decided to build five waste processing plants in the Kuban. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Russian Environmental Operator (REO).
The total amount that they plan to spend on the construction of enterprises for the treatment of household waste, according to the results of a meeting of the authorities of the Krasnodar Territory with the REO and investors, was estimated at 24 billion rubles. At the same time, the Russian Environmental Operator is ready to provide most of the funding, 95 percent. Three facilities for waste management complexes – “Anapa”, “Starominskiy” and “Dvubratskiy” — have already been submitted the corresponding private concession initiatives.
In June, the head of the Russian Environmental Operator (REO), Denis Butsaev, named the main problem of the regions lagging behind in the waste reform. According to him, they do not have the necessary infrastructure.
