On March 17, new details about the operations performed on Kostomarov appeared. “First, both feet were amputated to Kostomarov, then the lower legs of both legs. Earlier, a Match TV source said that the 46-year-old athlete was conscious, and he had a tracheal tube removed (a catheter to maintain breathing – approx. “Lenta.ru”). Kostomarov was hospitalized on 10 January. He was diagnosed with left-sided pneumonia in combination with influenza B.
