Within the scope of the campaign launched with the decision of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board, urgently needed materials and items such as diapers, clothing and blankets were collected for those affected by the earthquake.

Kozlukepir Mayor Ridvan Ahmet stated that they started a campaign to help the motherland even a little, and said, “We continue to work with all our teams. The campaign will continue until Sunday. It will be extended further if needed.” said.

Mayor of Mustafçova, Ridvan Ahmet, underlined that there is no other example of the earthquake in the recent history, and stated that they took action after the earthquake news.

“Our prayers are for our brothers and sisters in Turkey”

Ahmet said, “Our homeland, Turkey, is being tested first with a great disaster and a great test. There has never been such a great disaster anywhere in the world in recent history.” he said.

Explaining that his compatriots showed great interest in the aid campaign, Ahmet wished God’s mercy to those who lost their lives in the earthquake and a speedy recovery to the injured.

Şahin village imam İlter Meço explained that they were shaken by the news of the earthquake and said, “Our prayers are for our brothers in Turkey. We will also make an effort from here to be a balm for the wound inflicted in Turkey.” used the phrase.

Quran course instructor Nagehan Zümre said that they were saddened by the news of the earthquake and that all Western Thrace Turks were mobilized for help.

The group constantly asks us, “What can I do, how can I help everyone?” said.

“I haven’t been able to sleep since I got the news of the earthquake”

Salih Mehmet, one of the people who brought aid, said, “We are very sad. Ever since I heard the news of the earthquake, I can’t sleep. I always think about how I can help. They are our brothers. May God help them.” he said.

Mehmet Hüseyin, who supported the aid campaign, also explained that they pray for Turkey and said:

“There has been a great disaster, our homeland is in Turkey. Our hearts are broken, too. We are experiencing the same pain here.
