Along with the dugout, the TSN.ua journalist counted several more entrances to the hill.

“There are homeless people living here, next to us on Boichuka Street, but I wouldn’t call them antisocial. In the morning they go to work somewhere, in the evening they come back. In my opinion, they even dress fashionably. By the way, they are all checked here – after a full-scale invasion The Russian military came here to Ukraine and found out who lives here. This woman with a child appeared here recently,” a local pensioner, a resident of a neighboring house, told us.
When the TSN.ua journalist approached the dugout, it turned out that it was masked by a green net behind which there was a small door. Bags were hung on hooks inside, in the corner there was a structure that served as a bed, next to it – several shelves with dishes, a backpack hung above the improvised bed. A woman was sleeping on the same bed.

She did not wake up immediately, but only after she heard her being called loudly, took a cigarette and agreed to talk about why she found herself in such conditions with the child.
Near the accommodation
“My name is Antonina Pashkovska, I am 36 years old. I come from Kryvyi Rih, I have a total of three children. My eldest daughter, Violeta, is already 13 years old, she lives with her dad abroad, he is a truck driver, so I took her with me after full-scale invasion by the Russians. My middle son, Kirill, is now 6 years old. When he was 2 years old, my stepmother took him from me and gave him to her daughter, who cannot have children. I myself am from an orphanage, I was taken in when I was was 2 years old. Then I was kicked out of the house, my stepmother told me not to return. The youngest, Sashkov, is 5 months old. I gave birth to him in Kyiv on October 10, but not here, but in the maternity hospital. After giving birth, it so happened that I was sent to Poltava, to the home of the mother and child. But I ran away from there, because it’s like a concentration camp there. I stay here for about a week, and in total in Kyiv for about 7 years,” he says Antonina.
According to her, in order to get the child back, you probably need to find a job and a place to live.
“If the child is not returned to me, I will tell you honestly – I will go and hang myself,” Antonina said and cried.
But at the same time, she agreed that the conditions in the dugout, where there are no communications, are dangerous for the baby. She added that the room is heated.
“There is a stove, we heat it with firewood that we gather nearby. The child’s father works, he bought diapers and baby food. They brought me hot water, and I prepared baby formula on it. The child can already sit, can eat from a spoon,” she added. Antonina.
Summing up, the woman, using obscene words addressed to the social services, said that she had no intention of giving up the child. “They told me to look for a job. I want my baby back!” she says.
“It was impossible to approach the child because of the smell”
As it turned out, not everything is so clear-cut in this situation. Both the police and the center of social services of the Pechersk district of Kyiv emphasize that the boy was saved from the danger in which he was, so they are sincerely surprised by the comments that appear in social networks in defense of the woman.
“Thank God that this child remained alive and that there was no frost. We were informed about this case in time. Such a smell could be heard from the child that it was impossible to approach. Currently, the child is in the hospital for examination. The mother wrote a refusal, she has the right to apply to the children’s service within two months for the renewal of parental rights. If she does not apply within 2-3 months, a trial is held and she may be deprived of parental rights. After that, a child with the status of deprived of parental care can be adopted or taken into custody,” the deputy director of the center of social services of the Pechersk district of Kyiv told us. Nina Dovgusha.

According to her, according to the preliminary conclusions of doctors, the child has health problems.
In addition, the center of social services of the Pechersk district of Kyiv added: “The woman went to contact, told about her story, told that she escaped from the rehabilitation center from the Poltava region because there is a regime there, rules of internal order, each member of the team has responsibilities , it was possible to use a mobile phone only during the designated hours. According to the woman, the specialists of the center helped the newborn son to issue a birth certificate, a declaration with a pediatrician, examined him. According to the experts, the baby (in a dugout – Ed.) was not properly cared for, the child lived in complete unsanitary conditions, the mother did not wash him, but wiped him with wet napkins. The woman said that she was feeding her son baby porridge when she found boiled water that people brought. During a long conversation with the woman and finding ways to solve her problems, she herself said that she did not want and could not continue to raise her son. After some time, she said: “Probably, it will be better for my son” and wrote a statement about the refusal of the child to the head of the district police department and the head of the service for children and families of the Pechersk District State Administration in the city of Kyiv.
In addition, officials say that the woman has health problems due to her addiction to alcohol and drugs, but the woman herself denies this. “I only smoke cigarettes,” she says.
We will remind, recently the police of the Holosiiv district of Kyiv reported how managed to save a newborn child from an apartment cluttered to the ceiling, where swarms of cockroaches lived.
