The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the leadership of the Central Military Medical Commission of the Ministry of Defense for receiving bribes from evaders.
The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the SBI, exposed the deputy head of the Central Military Medical Commission of the Ministry of Defense for systemic corruption, who established a mechanism for receiving money from citizens of military age.

The law enforcement officers found out that the official offered various sums of bribes to men to evade military service under martial law. In particular, SBU employees documented the fact of extorting $5,000 from a conscript.
For this amount, the employee promised the conscript a conclusion of the commission on his unfitness for military service due to his health condition, with subsequent removal from the register at the military commissariat.

The violator was detained simply at the workplace while receiving the second part of the bribe. During searches at the office and at the home of the corrupt official, law enforcement officers found large sums of cash in various currencies totaling more than UAH 5 million.
Within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official), the suspect was notified of the suspicion. Currently, the issue of a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved. The perpetrator faces punishment up to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
