Gun attack in East Jerusalem: One seriously, 2 Israelis injured

According to a written statement from the Israeli police, an armed attack took place in the Silvan District of the occupied East Jerusalem, near the Old City.

It was stated that the attacker was neutralized and reinforcement police units were sent to the scene.

In a statement made by the Israeli emergency service, the Red Star of David, it was announced that 2 Israelis were injured, one seriously, in the attack. It was recorded that the 22-year-old Israeli, who was seriously injured, and the other 45-year-old injured were taken to the hospital after first aid at the scene.

Tensions have recently escalated in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank, and Palestinian casualties have increased.

7 people were killed and 3 injured in an armed attack on Friday night near a synagogue in a Jewish settlement in East Jerusalem.

The Israeli police announced that they chased the attacker, who fled from the scene by car, and neutralized him after the armed conflict.

9 Palestinians, including a 60-year-old woman, were killed in the raid carried out by the Israeli army on the Jenin Refugee Camp in the north of the occupied West Bank in the morning hours. In the events that broke out in the region after the raid, a 22-year-old Palestinian youth died in the er-Ram town of occupied East Jerusalem.

As a result of the fire opened by Israeli soldiers, at least 30 Palestinians, including women and children, have lost their lives in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank since New Year’s Day.
