    In the written statement made by the General Directorate, it was stated that within the scope of iftar meetings started last year, 16 thousand 500 people will be served iftar and hot food at sahur every day during Ramadan in Kahramanmaraş’s Elbistan, Gaziantep’s Nurdağı districts, and Hatay, Malatya and Adıyaman.

    In addition, it was stated in the statement that 73 thousand people who receive dry food aid, pension for the needy and scholarship from the general directorate will be given iftar in 81 provinces, and 20 thousand people will be given to countries such as the TRNC, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro, where the footprints of Turkish-Islamic foundation culture, due to the month of Ramadan. It was stated that a parcel of food would be sent.

    The statement noted:

    “The place of donating, sharing, social assistance and solidarity in our culture is extremely big and important. For this reason, foundations, which have been an incessant door of charity and a cause of prayer for centuries, have continued to preserve their value and importance from past to present. Our foundations are a concept belonging to our past, culture and tradition. They are lamps that illuminate our future. and we meet our citizens with our sahur tables.”
