Gendarmerie caught 394 irregular migrants in a week in Kırklareli

Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams carried out activities within the scope of combating irregular migration on March 24-30.

During the inspections carried out by the teams, 394 irregular migrants were caught.

The foreign nationals were handed over to the Pehlivanköy Removal Center after their procedures at the gendarmerie.

As part of the studies, 6 suspects were detained for allegedly smuggling immigrants. One of the suspects, who was transferred to the courthouse after their procedures in the gendarmerie, was arrested, the others were released on condition of judicial control.

In addition, 5 vehicles used in these events were confiscated.
