Marine Le Pen warned of the risk of a social explosion due to pension reform in France

The leader of the faction of the right-wing National Rally party in the French parliament, Marine Le Pen, said that the French government had created the conditions for a “social explosion” among citizens. She shared her opinion in an interview with AFP.

According to the politician, the consequences of the pension reform could be foreseen in a few months, but in France “as if they were looking for this.” “Consciously, the government creates all the conditions for a social explosion,” said Le Pen.

She also said that only head of state Emmanuel Macron had “the keys to the political crisis that he created”, but he preferred to “slap” the citizens of France.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron said that in order to maintain the same standard of living and receive pensions amid the crisis, the French will have to work harder. The pension reform project promoted by Macron involves a gradual increase in the retirement age from 62 to 65 years by 2031.
