This weapon will help save thousands of lives from the attacks of the invaders, said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov.
In the spring of 2023, France and Italy will send the SAMP/T anti-missile anti-missile system called Mamba to Ukraine. It will help protect Ukrainian skies more reliably.
This was reported by French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu on his page at Twitter.
“Together with Guido Crozetto, we decided to deliver the SAMP/T-MAMBA air defense system to Ukraine in the spring of 2023. This system will allow us to protect the civilian population and infrastructure from attacks by Russia, the urgency of which was noted by Oleksiy Reznikov,” he wrote.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov thanked the allies for their support.
“I am very grateful to my colleagues Sebastian Lecorne and Guido Crozetto, who decided to supply the SAMP/T air defense system to the Armed Forces. This will help us save thousands of lives from the attacks of Russian terrorists. Step by step, we will close the sky over Ukraine.”
We previously reported that Italy and France will purchase 700 anti-aircraft missiles for the SAMP-T air defense systems that will arrive in Ukraine. At the end of January, the defense ministers of the two countries agreed to purchase Aster-30 anti-aircraft missiles for Ukraine in the amount of about 2 billion euros.
