This morning, the Public Security Police (PSP) arrested four people in a nightlife area in Lisbon, as part of an operation aimed at detecting illegal possession of weapons.
Speaking to Jornal de Notícias, a PSP source said that the arrests took place near the Docks and Krystal nightclubs and on Avenida Brasília, next to the Museu do Oriente, in Alcântara.
Two people were arrested for possession of drugs, one for alcohol and the other for illegal possession of a weapon. In addition to the drug, a brass knuckle was seized.
Around 150 police officers from various areas of the PSP were involved in the operation, namely from the Territorial and Traffic Division with support from the Special Police Unit of the PSP, through the Intervention Corps and the Cinotechnical Operational Group.
