Ex-US senator admitted that the entry into Russia of new regions will be recognized in the future
Former senator from the US state of Virginia, Richard Black, admitted that in the future the world will recognize the entry of new regions into Russia. He spoke about this in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to Black, most countries in the world do not immediately recognize new regions. “But eventually it will happen,” he added, noting that the entry of new regions into Russia “will politically advance Russian interests.”
The ex-senator noted that in such situations, “only a small number of the closest allies recognize the accession,” and such processes always take place gradually. He also doubted that Ukraine “will be able to take these territories back.”
On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed agreements on the entry of four new regions into the country. The ceremony took place in the Georgievsky Hall of the Kremlin, where a similar agreement with Crimea was signed in 2014.
