The company said that the most difficult situation with the provision of electricity is in winter.
There are no plans in Ukraine power outage in the near future, if there are no new attacks from the Russian aggressors and damage to energy facilities.
About it in the interview BBC said Petro Kotin, president of Energoatom NAEC.
“If there is no shelling and damage to the infrastructure, there will be no more blackouts,” he said.
Kotin noted that it was the most difficult to pass the winter period, but it was possible to do it. At most, he stated that for full provision it is not even necessary to operate the number of power units that were needed in winter.
“And that’s why there is now a surplus of electricity in the power system. In fact, nuclear power units remained in operation at the maximum level all this time,” he added.
The head of “Energoatom” stated that in winter, the lines and substations that connect nuclear plants with the power system suffered mainly from shelling.
“If these damages do not occur, then all the volume that is needed can be taken away. At the same time, we carry out repairs at nuclear plants as it should be done. Because these are very complex technological objects. Repairs are planned for the summer,” Kotin added. .
We will remind, earlier it was reported that Ukrainian the nuclear power plant operates at a maximum capacity of 7,200 MW of electricity.
In addition, we previously informed that Thursday, March 16, in the Kyiv region, Stabilizing blackouts were used. Residents of several districts will be partially without electricity.
