Military personnel from the Research and Support Center for Specific Victims (NIAVE) of the GNR of São João da Madeira arrested a 46-year-old man for domestic violence, in the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira. The man got an electronic bracelet.
Following an investigation into domestic violence, the Guard’s military found that the aggressor “threatened and exercised psychological violence against the victim, his 54-year-old companion”.
The GNR also added that “following the police investigations, an arrest warrant and two search warrants were carried out, one at home and one in a vehicle”.
Three boxes for cloning cards, four boxes for decoding digital channels, four cell phones, seven insecticide bottles, eight chip cards without magnetic stripe and a DVD were seized.
The detainee was presented to the Judicial Court of Santa Maria da Feira, where the coercive measures of prohibition of approaching and contact by any means with the victim, controlled by an electronic bracelet, prohibition of possession and acquisition of weapons, and obligation to leave the house in two days.
