    Elections in Turkey: Erdogan declared himself the winner

    Erdogan thanked “every citizen who entrusted him with the responsibility of running the country for the next 5 years.”

    The current president of Turkey, Recep Erdogan, said that he won in the second round of the elections.

    It is reported Milliyet and CNN.

    The politician thanked the nation for giving Turkey “the day of democracy”.

    “We have completed the second round of presidential elections. I would like to thank my nation for giving us a day of democracy,” Erdogan said. The winners of both the May 14 and May 28 elections are all our 85 million citizens. I want to thank all my citizens who came to the elections and determined their will for the future of themselves and their children.”

    Erdogan thanked “every citizen who entrusted him with the responsibility of running the country for the next 5 years.”

    It should be noted that the official announcement of the final election results in Turkey has not yet taken place.

    We will remind that today, May 28, the presidential elections in Turkey ended. According to Turkish media, Erdogan remains in the post of president.
