The government is trying to speed up the demining process, Shmyhal said.
110,000 hectares were surveyed within the scope of demining in Ukraine. So far, more than 600,000 explosive items have been discovered.
About this reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
“Demining has been identified as one of our key priorities for recovery this year. A special responsible body has been created. We are attracting funds, equipment and technologies so that the process progresses faster,” he said.
It will be recalled that, according to the World Bank, the full range of humanitarian demining works in Ukraine will cost 37.4 billion dollars. Only the needs for the current year reach more than 397 million dollars.
Earlier we reported that the Armed Forces Support Forces Command showed how the Bozena-5 demining complex works. Thanks to this machine, more than 215 thousand kilometers of power lines were cleared of explosive objects.
