Disability pensions: how much they increased in March after indexation

The March indexation applies to pensioners by age, those who receive pensions for disability, loss of a breadwinner, for years of service, insurance payments to disabled Chernobyl workers and liquidators of the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. On average, pensions increased by 400-700 hryvnias.

What will be the disability pensions

Depending on the group, the disability pension is assigned in the following amounts:

• persons with disabilities of the I group – 100 percent of the old-age pension,
• persons with disabilities of the II group – 90 percent of the old-age pension,
• persons with disabilities of the III group – 50 percent of the old-age pension.

The amounts of the pension for disability that occurred as a result of mutilation or illness as a result of the Chernobyl disaster will not be lower than:

• for the 1st group – 8187.48 hryvnias,
• for the II group – 6,549.99 hryvnias,
• for group III and for children with disabilities – 5,048.95 hryvnias.

The disability pension of the accident liquidator at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant cannot be lower than:

• for the 1st group (100%) – 13,376.21 hryvnias,
• for the II group (80%) – 10,700.97 hryvnias,
• for the III group (60%) – 8025.73 hryvnias.
