    Fraudsters gained access to the numbers of more than 20 servicemen who are in captivity or missing.

    In Ukraine, a criminal group was exposed, which processed loans for missing persons and prisoners military personnel The total amount of damages is over 2 million hryvnias.

    This was reported in National Police of Ukraine.

    It is noted that the three attackers received data on the mobile numbers of servicemen whose relatives have lost contact or those who are currently in captivity. They reissued SIM cards and checked whether the numbers were financial. Then they got access to online banking. The remaining money was transferred from the defenders’ accounts, as well as credit cards were issued and loan amounts were appropriated.

    According to preliminary data, to fraudsters it was possible to gain access to the mobile numbers of more than 20 servicemenwho are in captivity or missing.

    The organizer of the criminal group was detained. The man was informed of the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 190 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

    It will be recalled that Ukraine returned the bodies of 17 more fallen defenders. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the bodies of 1,426 fallen Ukrainian heroes have been handed over to their families from the occupied territories.
