“Cotton” came to Sevastopol: the occupiers announced a mass attack and talked about downed drones

In temporarily occupied Sevastopol on the night of July 16, there were several powerful explosions. They started around 4:00.

The occupation authorities traditionally announced the work of air defense.

“Just now, air defense forces and the Russian fleet are repelling an attack by Ukrainian UAVs on Sevastopol in the area of ​​Chersonesos, Sevastopol Bay and Balaclava,” ‒ noted “Governor” of Sevastopol Mykhailo Razvozhaev.

According to him, the attack was “massive and prolonged”. Later, he called the alleged “results of the work of air defense”. He claims that “none of the objects in the city or in the water area were damaged.”

“One UAV was shot down over the sea and five were suppressed by EW forces. Two surface drones were also destroyed during an external raid,” added Razvozhaev.

Local people in Telegram channels are panicking because of the explosions and writethat they are very afraid. According to residents of the city, the explosions were so powerful that they shook houses and nearly broke out windows.
