The People’s Republic of China is ready to expand contacts between the Ukrainian and Chinese military leadership.
On Saturday, June 3, Defense Ministers of Ukraine and China Oleksiy Reznikov and Li Shanfu met in Singapore. The head of the Chinese agency offered to use “all possible means” to try to stop Russia’s war in Ukraine, and also promised to expand military ties with Kyiv.
It informs Bloomberg.
At the same time, China continues to insist on the role of a peacemaker, despite close political and economic ties with Moscow, the report says. During the meeting of the ministers, the Ukrainian side sought to deepen Beijing’s understanding of the situation.
“They are ready to communicate to expand contacts between the Ukrainian and Chinese military leadership. I hope we will see some dynamics after the meeting,” said Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Volodymyr Gavrylov after the negotiations.
Earlier we reported that Reznikov met with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius. The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine thanked Germany for participating in the tank coalition.
