    The disasters left 26 dead against the backdrop of an intense heat wave.

    France joins international aid to Chile. To fight against vast forest fires, 80 firefighters and rescuers will leave France “in the next few hours”, “at the request of the President of the Republic”announced Gérald Darmanin on Twitter on Tuesday 7 February. “The Chilean people can count on the support of France to fight against this scourge”Emmanuel Macron tweeted on Monday.

    Hit by an intense heat wave, Chile is battling vast fires. According to a latest report on Monday, they left 26 dead, 1,260 injured, and left 3,000 people homeless.
