Summit of presidents debates the pillars of football in the coming years.
The 10th summit of the presidents of Liga Portugal will take place this Tuesday at 10 am at the Convento de São Francisco, in Coimbra, where various topics for the future of professional football will be discussed. The centralization of television rights will be one of the main themes, with an assessment of the work carried out on this subject, with a perspective for the future and for the competitiveness of Portuguese football.
The EY consultancy will present to the presidents of Liga Portugal clubs what are the main challenges to be faced in professional football in the next four years, the period corresponding to the four-year period 2023-27. Furthermore, bearing in mind that this will be the last summit of presidents in Pedro Proença’s second term, the main pillars that should guide whoever is at the helm of Liga Portugal during this period will also be revealed.
Finally, the progress of work on the Arena Liga Portugal will be presented, which will be the future home of the organization, and whose first stone was laid in February last year, with the expectation that it will be completed and inaugurated in 2023. will be built in the city of Porto and is one of the flagships of President Pedro Proença’s project.
