    Russia struck with missiles

    At 12:00, the head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak announced that the Russian occupiers were shelling Zaporizhzhia rockets He reported that residential buildings and the island of Khortytsia were under enemy attack.

    Zelensky’s reaction

    The head of state Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the terror of the Russians and showed a video of the moment when a projectile hit the house. He also called on the world for greater “unity and determination to quickly defeat Russian terror and protect the lives of Ukrainians.”

    “Russia is shelling the city with brutal brutality. Hitting residential neighborhoods where ordinary people, children live. A terrorist country seeks to destroy our cities, our state, our people. This should not become “just an ordinary day” in Ukraine, anywhere else in Europe or the world. We need more unity and determination of the world in order to quickly defeat Russian terror and protect life,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

    As a result of the impact, there are many victims and one victim is known

    The city council clarified that during the attack Russian criminals damaged two nine-story buildings. As a result of the missile strike, according to preliminary data, 18 people were injured, including 7- and 9-year-old children. Four victims are in serious condition.

    “At this time, we know about 18 victims (including two children aged 7 and 9). 11 adults were hospitalized (four of them are in serious condition, seven are in moderate condition). Another five people received medical assistance at the place of arrival. Children now they are being taken to medical facilities,” wrote Anatoly Kurtev, secretary of the Zaporizhia City Council, at 1:45 p.m.

    At 13:58 Kurtev clarifiedthat was affected 25 people, 3 of them are in serious condition. Unfortunately, one person died.

    “Unfortunately, one injured person who was in serious condition died. According to updated information, 25 people are currently in hospitals. 3 people are in serious condition, 19 are in moderate condition, 3 are in mild condition (two of them are children)” , – he added.

    Rescuers of the State Emergency Service are working on the spot and the city emergency and rescue service, doctors, psychologists, social security workers, volunteers, the city association of shelters.

    The invaders attacked the city with six rockets

    Subsequently, the head of the Zaporizhzhya OVA, Yury Malashko, announced that Russia had released six rockets hit the city, one of which hit the target. He confirmed that one of the Russian missiles hit the roof of the building but did not explode.

    At this moment, evacuation was taking place from two affected houses. People will be evacuated to communal enterprises, hostels, as well as prepared rooms in hotel complexes. The headquarters has been deployed, the victims can apply for help there.

    A gas leak started in a damaged high-rise building in Zaporizhzhia

    A TSN correspondent from the scene reported that a gas leak occurred in a nearby multi-story building, which was also damaged by the impact. Appropriate services were called to the scene. According to the updated information, 1 person died (4 people are in serious condition), three children were injured (one suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning).

    What missiles did the Russians fire at Zaporozhye?

    Later, the Air Force Command reported that Russia hit residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia rocket artillery. According to preliminary data, it was the Tornado S long-range rocket system. It flies very fast and seconds pass from launch to hit, that’s why the alarm sounded after the shell hit.

    “It should be understood that Zaporizhzhia is a front-line city, located not far from the combat line. According to preliminary data from the duty services, it was a long-range rocket salvo system, possibly Tornado S,” said Colonel Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

    The number of victims has increased

    As of 4:10 p.m., according to updated information from the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, the number of victims of the Russian attack has increased up to 33 people. So far, one death is known. A total of 28 people were hospitalized. Three children, ages 5, 7 and 9, are currently in hospital with minor injuries. This was told by the head of ZOVA Yuriy Malashko.
