The risks of civilian casualties increase with the arrival of spring and the start of agricultural work.
“Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, more than 750 victims of mines have been registered among the civilian population. One in eight of them is a child. It will probably take at least a decade to demine Ukraine,” the intelligence officers said.

According to Sky News, about 40% of the country’s territory is contaminated by mines. There are anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, trap mines, cluster mines and unexploded ammunition in Ukraine.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that a humanitarian demining center will be created in Ukraine.
