Biden signed a decree declassifying information about the origin of the coronavirus

In the United States, they are convinced that it is necessary to better study COVID-19.

The US president signed the document “Act on the origin of COVID-19 of 2023”.

About this it is said on the White House website.

“I share the goal of Congress to release as much information as possible about the origin of the coronavirus disease, COVID-19. In 2021, I directed the intelligence community to use all available tools to investigate the origin of COVID-19, and that work continues. We need to understand the origin of COVID-19 to better prevent future pandemics. My administration will continue to review all classified information related to the origin of COVID-19, including potential links to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. In implementing this legislation, my administration will declassify and disseminate such information to the extent possible, consistent with my constitutional authority to protect from disclosing information that could harm national security,” the message reads.

We will remind WHO stopped the second phase of the investigation into the origin of the coronavirus. The reason for this decision is problems with data collection in China. It is emphasized that a long time has passed to collect the necessary data on the origin of COVID-19. But at the same time, scientists have enough information to prevent possible outbreaks of the virus in the future.
