Aviation of the defense forces struck 8 strikes against the enemy: operational information of the General Staff

The five hundred and thirteenth day of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

Tonight is the Russian Federation launched another missile attack on the territory of Ukraine. Information regarding the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified.

Over the past day, the Russian occupiers launched a massive air and missile attack on the territory of Ukraine, using 3 Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles, 5 Iskander-K land-based cruise missiles, 4 X-22 cruise missiles, 7 Onyx cruise missiles and 19 Shahed-type attack UAVs. According to the results of the combat operation, air defense destroyed 2 Kalibr cruise missiles, 3 Iskander-K land-based cruise missiles and 13 Shahed-type attack UAVs.

In addition, the enemy carried out 49 airstrikes and launched 72 attacks from rocket salvo systems. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are victims among the civilian population, industrial facilities, residential buildings and other infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The probability of launching missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains very high.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on the Kupyansk, Lymansk, Bakhmutsk, Avdiivsk and Marinsk directions – 32 combat clashes took place during the past day.

On the Volyn and Poliske directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups.

The enemy maintains a military presence in the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions. He carried out airstrikes in the districts of Semenivka, Novgorod-Siversky, Chernihiv Region, Grabovsky, Sumy Region, and the city of Sumy. He carried out mortar and artillery shelling of more than 25 settlements, in particular Leonivka, Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Basivka, Volfyne of Sumy Oblast and Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Odnorobivka, Staritsa, Vovchansk and Budarky of Kharkiv Oblast.

In the Kupyansk direction, our soldiers are firmly holding the defense, successfully repulsed enemy attacks southwest of Masyutivka, in the Kharkiv region. Dvorichna, Zapadne, Figolivka, Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Kupyansk, Kucherivka, Monachynivka and Topal of the Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.

On the Lymanskyi direction, the settlements of Nevske, Bilogorivka of the Luhansk region and Torske, Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne, Berestov, Kislivka and Rozdolivka of the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, under heavy enemy artillery fire, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks on the southwestern outskirts of Klishchiivka. More than 10 settlements, including Vasyukivka, Markove, Bogdanivka, Ivanivske, Stupochki, Chasiv Yar, and Oleksandro-Shultine of the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivsk direction, under heavy fire from the enemy’s aircraft and artillery, our defenders successfully repelled the attacks of Russian troops in the Nevelsky area. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the districts of Severny and the city of Avdiyivka. At the same time, artillery bombarded more than 10 settlements, in particular, Avdiivka, Karlivka, Pervomaiske and Nevelske of the Donetsk region were affected.

In the Mariinsky direction, our soldiers continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the Novomykhailivka and Maryinka districts of the Donetsk region. The enemy launched airstrikes near Alexandropol and Novomykhailivka. He shelled more than 15 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Zhelanne Pershe, Pobyeda and Georgiivka in Donetsk region.

In the direction of Shakhtarsky, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Zolotaya Niva, Vugledar, Storozhovo, Makarivka, Blagodatny and shelled the settlements of Velika Novosilka, Vugledar, Vodyane, Blagodatne and Odradne of the Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preventing the further advance of our troops. He made futile attempts to restore his lost position in the area north of Priyutny, Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, Yehorivka, Pyatikhatok of the Zaporizhia region and Kozatskyi of the Kherson region. More than 30 settlements, including Novodanilivka, Malynivka, Gulyaipole, Lobkovo, Zaliznychne, Biloghirya, Zaporizhzhia region, were hit by artillery fire; Poniativka, Tyaginka, Red Lighthouse, Antonivka, Zimivnyk of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, are entrenched at the reached boundaries, inflict fire damage with artillery on identified enemy targets, and carry out counter-battery countermeasures.

Over the past day, the aviation of the defense forces has struck 8 strikes on areas where enemy personnel are concentrated. Also, our defenders destroyed 1 reconnaissance UAV of operational-tactical level.

Over the past 24 hours, units of missile forces and artillery hit 10 artillery pieces in firing positions, 2 anti-aircraft defenses, 2 EW stations and 4 more important enemy objects.

We will remind that the Russian invaders once again staged a massive attack on Ukraine, launching rockets and drones on the cities of the country on the night of July 20. So, missile strikes were carried out on Odesa and Mykolaiv, and Sumy was attacked by drones. As a result of a rocket attack on Odesa in the center of the city, the administration building was destroyed, many buildings around were damaged, and a warehouse was hit. At first it was known about four victims.
