The head of the Crimea Aksyonov invited the UN to learn from the experience of the peninsula to solve the water crisis
The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, suggested that the UN adopt the experience of the peninsula in solving the crisis in the field of water supply. He wrote about this in the Telegram channel.
Aksyonov recalled that March 22 is celebrated worldwide as the Day of Water Resources, established by the UN in 1993. He pointed out that a UN conference on water resources would be held in New York that day.
“Will the water blockade of Donbass by the Kyiv regime be condemned there?” asked the head of Crimea.
According to Aksyonov, Crimea has probably become the only region in the world that has lived for 8 years “in conditions of a severe water blockade.” The restrictions ended only after the North Crimean Canal was unblocked by the Russian military during a special operation, the head of the region noted.
Earlier, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration (CMA) of the Zaporozhye region, accused Kyiv of a policy of genocide against Crimea. He noted that Western countries did not react in any way to the termination of water supplies to Crimea, the blocking of the North Crimean Canal and the explosion of electrical pylons. “Now we are faced with repetitions of this story in the liberated territory,” Rogov added.
