Zelenskyi assured that energy workers will work as long as necessary to restore electricity supply to cities and regions where there are currently problems.

Today, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held several meetings regarding the consequences of a massive attack on Ukrainian infrastructure.

The head of state said this during his traditional video address in the evening, March 9.

“Another attempt by the terrorist state to fight against civilization led to temporary blackouts of electricity, heat, and water in some of our regions and cities,” he said.

The President reminded that Russian missiles took the lives of six Ukrainians today.

Restoration work at power facilities continues all day. The most difficult situation is in Kharkiv and Zhytomyr Oblast. It is not easy in Odessa, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk region.

Zelenskyi assured that repair crews, power engineers, local government, central government – everyone will work as long as necessary to restore energy supply to cities and regions where there are currently problems.

“We have already shown what Ukraine is capable of. And no matter how much Russia does mean things, our state and people will still not be in chains. Neither missiles nor Russian atrocities will help in this,” the head of state emphasized.

At the end, Zelensky thanked all the soldiers of the Air Force of Ukraine. Especially to the 138th Dnipro, 160th Odesa and 208th Kherson anti-aircraft missile brigades, which distinguished themselves in the defense against today’s Russian raid.

We will remind that MrDuring this day, the occupiers launched 84 missiles of various bases. 34 missiles were destroyed, 8 more did not reach their targets. The enemy also used 8 Shahed-136 type drones, half of which were shot down.

In the Lviv region, a Russian rocket fell just on private residential buildings. 5 people died at the scene, two houses were completely destroyed and farm buildings were damaged.

Kyiv was also hit by a Russian missile. In the capital three people were injuredcars and buildings were also damaged.
