Russia attacked Ukraine again on the night of May 28. Kyiv became the main goal. As a result of the attack, there is a victim and victims. The sounds of explosions were also heard in other areas. For the strike, Russia used more than half a hundred Iranian Shahed-136/131 drones.

Explosions in Kyiv – which districts were hit

After the announcement of the air alert, explosions rang out in the capital. The occupying forces attacked Kyiv with Iranian drones. Air defense was working. According to the KMVA, the attack was carried out in several waves, and the air alert lasted more than 5 hours. It was the most massive drone attack on the capital since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

According to preliminary data, the forces and means of anti-aircraft defense in the airspace of Kyiv were destroyed more than 40 Russian drones.

In Holosiivskyi due to the downing of drones:

• debris hit a 7-story non-residential building, one person died, one was hospitalized;
• the roof of one of the malls caught fire;
• a fire broke out on the territory of one of the buildings;
• there was also a fire on the territory of the enterprise, warehouses of finished products caught fire, destruction on an area of ​​1,000 square meters. , there is one victim.
• debris falling on the territory of the gas station.

In the Pechersk district the roof of the house caught fire.

In Darnytskyi district in one of the shops windows were broken and doors were damaged.

The main goal is Kyiv

Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that during the night attack on May 28, the blow fell on the capital. In his opinion, in this way the enemy “congratulated” the people of Kyiv with the Day of the City.

“Today the people of Kyiv are celebrating the Day of the City, perhaps in this way the enemy tried to “congratulate” the people of Kyiv on this day. 52 out of 54 UAVs were destroyed, the vast majority – in the Kyiv region by the personnel of the Center Air Command, – he said.

He also added that Russia has not changed its intentions – it is hitting infrastructure facilities, military facilities, at least it is trying to do so.

“As the commander of the Air Force said: the gifts were accepted, only fragments of them remained. We must also thank the enemy with something for such a brazen attack on our capital,” he added.
