5.7 magnitude earthquake shakes Bogotá and other cities in eastern Colombia, according to the Colombian Geological Service

(CNN Spanish) — A 5.7 magnitude earthquake shook Bogotá and other cities in central and eastern Colombia, according to the Colombian Geological Service.

The seismic focus was located 152 kilometers deep and the epicenter was located in Los Santos, department of Santander, according to the Colombian Geological Service.

For his part, he United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported the seismic event with a magnitude of 5.3 and 3.3 kilometers from the town of Aratoca, Santander.
