Farber suspects that Troconis lied to investigators and withheld crucial information about her daughter’s disappearance. Troconis was found guilty of helping her now-deceased boyfriend, Fotis Dulos, cover up the murder of Jennifer Dulos in 2019. Farber does not believe that Troconis will ever share the truth about what happened to her daughter’s body, which has not been found. Farber also immediately suspected Fotis Dulos when her daughter went missing.
Investigators believe that Jennifer Dulos was attacked and killed by her estranged husband on May 24, 2019, and that her body was dumped with the help of Troconis. Troconis was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, evidence tampering, and hindering prosecution. Videos shown during the trial depicted Troconis riding with Fotis Dulos as he disposed of Jennifer’s bloody clothes. Fotis Dulos died in a Bronx hospital in January 2020, shortly after attempting to take his own life while out on bail and a day before a scheduled bail hearing.
Despite her daughter’s tragic death, Farber remembers Jennifer Dulos fondly and thinks of her every day. Farber now has custody of Jennifer’s children in New York City. She speaks highly of her daughter, saying that Jennifer always amazed her and poured her wisdom and joy into her children. Jennifer came from a wealthy New York family, with her father founding a brokerage firm and having a fashion designer aunt. Despite Jennifer’s life being cut short, Farber believes that she became a great person during her short time on earth.
Troconis faces up to 50 years behind bars for her role in covering up Jennifer Dulos’ murder. She is scheduled to be sentenced on May 31. Despite the difficulty of the situation, Farber continues to seek answers and justice for her daughter. She hopes that Troconis will eventually reveal the truth about what happened to Jennifer Dulos and where her body is located. Farber remains dedicated to keeping her daughter’s memory alive and ensuring that her killer and accomplices are held accountable for their actions.
