Turkish Red Crescent continues to extend a helping hand to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip who have been targets of Israeli attacks. In this context, a total of 3,774 tons of aid, including food, flour, baby supplies, and sleeping bags, was loaded onto the “9th Goodness Ship” of the Turkish Red Crescent.

After the preparations at Mersin International Port are completed, the ship will set sail tomorrow with a ceremony. The ship will reach the nearest region to Gaza, the Port of El-Arish in Egypt, after a sea journey lasting about 40 hours.

The humanitarian aid materials unloaded from the ship at the port will be transported to the Rafah Border Crossing with trucks. After customs procedures at the border, the materials will be delivered to the Palestinian Red Crescent, who will distribute the aid to those in need in Gaza.

The Palestinian Red Crescent will ensure that the aid reaches the beneficiaries in Gaza. Through the collaboration between the Turkish Red Crescent and AFAD, a total of 39,697 tons of various humanitarian aid materials have been delivered to Gaza with 13 planes and 8 ships. This ongoing support aims to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people affected by the conflict in Gaza.
